Rubrics

*Spreadsheets
*Commercial rubric software

Office productivity software (such as Microsoft's Office or AppleWorks) includes spreadsheet applications that can be customized into rubric programs. Commercial electronic rubric software is also available with specialized interfaces and options.

Interactive Tests
Tests that react

*Online
*Scripted
*Commercial interactive testing software

Programs such as Inspiration, PowerPoint, Hyperstudio, WebCT, and Authorware can be used to create tests that can operate on stand alone or online computers and not only give the test to the student, but also grade the test for the instructor. Other functions can be built into the test such as branching, remediation, and extension. Commercial products such as the online GRE evaluate the learner and adapt the questions accordingly.
