Defining Assistive Educational Technology

Assistive Educational Technology (AET) is the theory and practice of design, development, utilization, management, and evaluation of processes and resources that are used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individuals for learning (with disabilities).

Cavanaugh, 2000
